[NEWS] Park Shin Hye recovers from injuries with 'fighting spirit'

Actress Park Shin Hye is recovering from her injuries.

Earlier this month, Park Shin Hye was involved in a car accident and was hospitalized for 3 days before she could return to the drama set. Five persons, including Park Shin Hye, her two managers and coordis were immediately rushed to nearby hospital to receive treatments. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.

As Park Shin Hye suffers neck and waist pains as a result of the accident, she is accompanied by on-set physical therapists during her drama filming after she was discharged from hospital.

A drama official stated "Park Shin Hye's commitment to her job is highly praised by drama staffs. A personal physical therapist is hired to accompany Park Shin Hye on set so she can receive consistent treatment while filming 'Heartstrings' (drama name)."

Park Shin Hye is said to be making progress in recovery with a 'fighting spirit'. 2 days ago, she tweeted fans thanking them for their love and concern:

Well, MBC made your dreams come true! For this year 2011, they’ve brought back Yonghwa and Shinhye as a couple in the currently airing drama “Heartstrings”. Also, CNBLUE’s drummer Kang Minhyuk is part of the cast as the leader of the make-believe band “The Stupid”. Are you watching this drama too?

A question about the “Heartstrings” drama’s recent or previous episode will be given weekly until its last episode aired. “Heartstrings” drama is said to have 16 episodes. [VIDEO] Park Shin Hye & Jang Keun Suk on MBC Section TV's 'Entertainment Communication'

On today's episode of MBC Section TV's , the crew visits Park Shin Hye and Jang Keun Suk on a photoshoot set. The two friends are seen doing a photoshoot for Korean fashion label 'Codes Combine Haiker Fall/Winter Collection 2011'.

The two Hallyu stars complete their photoshoot efficiently and sit down for an interview. The interviewer cheekily says "Park Shin Hye-ssi, we hear that Jang Keun Suk's mother likes you a lot.'

To that, Shin Hye replies 'Yes Jang Keun Suk's mother likes me a lot. When we first met, she held my hand and said that she hoped I could be her daughter-in-law.' Shin Hye holds Jang Keun Suk's hand to demonstrate how his mother previously held hers. The interviewer gave them king and queen crowns and told them to pose together.

'However, my ideal man is actor Won Bin,' Park Shin Hye says earnestly.

Upon hearing this, Jang Keun Suk rebukes 'It's ok, I think Kim Ha Neul noona is the prettiest.'

[NEWS] Jung Yonghwa's wish is for Park Shin Hye to fall for him in 'Heartstrings'

Jung Yonghwa firmly takes hold of Park Shin Hye's hand and confesses his love for her.

In Episode 9 of MBC drama 'Heartstrings', Lee Shin (starring Jung Yonghwa) finally faces his true feelings and confesses to Lee Kyu Won (starring Park Shin Hye) during their school training camp.

In the beginning of the episode, Lee Shin kneels down in front of an injured Kyu Won and says 'Please don't stop liking me' to which Kyu Won responds 'Why? Do you like me?'. Lee Shin stutters and fails to give an answer, which causes Kyu Won to angrily yell 'I am not your slave, you cannot play around with my feelings!'.

After the incident, Kyu Won remains cold towards Shin. However, during their training camp, Shin and Kyu Won are told to buy groceries together. On the way to the market, Kyu Won walks off by herself to buy medicine for her sickness, leaving a worried Shin to wander in the busy streets to look for her. When he finally does, Shin says in frustration 'Where were you? Have you got any idea how worried I was!'.

Back at the camp, everyone is having a wonderful time except for Lee Shin, who is still worried about Kyu Won's sickness. During an 'individual performance' activity,  Lee Shin plays the guitar and sings Jason Mraz's song 'Lucky', directing the lyrics to Kyu Won - 'Do you hear me? I am talking to you... I keep you with me in my heart...Lucky we are in love in every way...'

Lee Shin holds onto Kyu Won's hand and forbids her from performing: 'If you are in pain, I will be very worried.'

Later that night, Shin and Kyu Won sit in the dark talking about dreams. When asked what his dream is, Shin takes hold of Kyu Won's hand and says 'My wish is that.. you will fall for me again.'

The episode ends with the heart-fluttering confession of Shin, which foreshadows that Episode 10 will unfold the love-line between Shin and Kyu Won in full force.

After the broadcast last night, Shin Hye tweeted with a photo starring her new hairstyle:

July 28: "오늘 미용실에 가서 선생님께 "쌤~!! '넌 내게 반했어' 이규원 머리 해주세요!!" 했더니 정말 해주셨다!!역시 민희쌤은능력자>_<파마했어요이제 습한 날씨에 머리풀릴 걱정은 좀 덜 해도 될 것인가.."

[NEWS] 'Heartstrings receives positive reviews from viewers - 'exciting'

Episode 8 of Heartstrings aired last night (July 27th) receives positive reviews from viewers. The overall ratings of the drama increased by 0.8% last night.

Because of Park Shin Hye's car accident last week, the script of Heartstrings undergo a 2nd script change with a new storyline of Shin Hye's character, Kyu Won, being admitted to hospital for leg injury treatment. This storyline is specially tailored for Park Shin Hye as she suffers leg injury in real life. 

The highlight of the episode is when Lee Shin(starring Jung Yonghwa) confronts a hospitalized Kyu Won with his bold confession: 'Do not stop liking me." Viewers swoon with excitement as this is the first time cold-hearted Lee Shin faces his true feelings and confesses to Kyu Won.

On the other hand, Kyu Won adopts a colder attitude towards Shin despite liking him to hide her feelings. Park Shin Hye's acting skills have received a lot of compliments from viewers, especially when she acts drunken scenes perfect adorableness.

The birthday party scene for Kyu Won also captures the attention of viewers. To celebrate Kyu Won's 21st birthday, members of The Stupid and the Invincible Wind Flowers throw a party for the birthday girl. The filming took place on the 1st day of Park Shin Hye's return to set after her accident. Staff of the drama said 'It is very difficult to tell whether the actors were acting or whether they were truly having a real party. They were celebrating Park Shin Hye's return to set as well.'

Episode 9 of Heartstrings will continue to unfold the developing loveline between Lee Kyu Won and Lee Shin as well as the progress of the preparations for the school's 100th Anniversary musical. There will also be a 'sweet seaside date' between the two leads featuring... watermelons :P

[NEWS] Park Shin Hye's MRI, CT scans 'ok', returns to filming

Good News! Shin Hye is currently recovering from her injuries!

Park Shin Hye was rushed to hospital on Monday, July 18, after being involved in a major car accident where more than 5 people were injured. She was pronounced to suffer from minor injuries and insisted on returning to filming on Wednesday. However, she was admitted to hospital during filming because of the after-effects of the accident - muscular pains in the neck and waist areas.

The hospital performed detailed MRI and CT scans on her. Results for both scans are 'All Clear'. She will return to filming her drama 'Heartstrings' earliest this weekend after some more rest.

Yesterday, she tweeted about her recovery progress and thanks fans for their love:

Translation: "Hello^^* This is Park ShinHye!! The first thing I wanted to announce is good news to everyone. It seems like I have caused the public to worry, so I'm dearly sorry. [NEWS] Park Shin Hye to sing CNBlue's song 'I Will Forget You' for Heartstrings

In Episode 7 of MBC drama Heartstrings, Park Shin Hye is spotted singing CNblue's song. The episode will tell the story of her character, Lee Kyu Won, taking part in an audition for the lead role of the school's 100th Year Anniversary Musical.

In the previous episode's last scene, Kyu Won sees a crying Lee Shin in the arms of dance professor Yoonsu. Lee Shin is heartbroken as his father has passed away. Kyu Won is disappointed and tears up as she sees Yoonsu hugging Shin. Kyu Won vows not to care about Lee Shin's personal life anymore.

However, Lee Shin's band 'The Stupid' and Kyu Won's group 'The Invincible Wind Flowers' are appointed by the school to co-write a song for the 100th Anniversary Musical. They have to combine the two contrasting elements of music - traditional and modern - to create a new and interesting song. Given the mission, the two groups have to live together in a dormitory, thus begin the adventures of the students' stay at the horrifying and seemingly-haunted dorm. An awkward atmosphere is evident between Kyu Won and Shin as Kyu Won's heart is still stinging from what she saw the other night.

A representative of JS Pictures stated 'There have been a lot of complaints about the lack of love-line between Kyu Won and Lee Shin. But in the upcoming episode, everything will change. During the filming of the living-together-in-dorm scenes, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yonghwa and Kang Minhyuk were chatting about their high school memories and more."

Meanwhile, the musical's director, former Broadway director Suk Hyun (starring Song Chang Ui) announces the theme of the celebratory musical - Love, Kyu Won chooses 'I Will Forget You' as her song for audition. The song's lyrics are Kyu Won's thoughts and feelings towards Lee Shin (starring Jung Yonghwa).

During the audition, Kyu Won tears up. Lee Shin, who is watching the teary confession in the hall, appears to be in deep thought as the music moves his heart. The producer said 'Park Shin Hye was very into her character. When she sings the song at the audition scene, the rest of the cast and crew are deeply moved by her performance, too.Please look forward to a music performance with traditional music and applied music combined together."

The 7th episode of Heartstrings will air tonight, July 20th, on MBC at 9:55pm.
